Colorado Springs, then east into
Kansas - 455 miles:
Heading down toward
Denver at 9:10 - rush hour was ok:
We reached the
Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 10:22
and did the road-trip through it from 10:30 to 11:
Since the rocks are oriented north-south, if you drove through in the late-afternoon, you would get a totally different experience.
Mailed postcards down in
Colorado Springs (West End Station):
And had lunch with niece Mimi:
Eventually up onto
I-70 East:
Which took us into
Kansas:
Checked into the
Super 8, Hays, Kansas:
Thank you God for this wonderful adventure day with my Wonderful Wife! (another Big Milage Day tomorrow)
