2021 Fall Trip - Day 25 - 9/17/2021
Friday, Sept. 17, 2021 - "Teton Day" with Wendy - Hike, Lunch, Hike, and Raft Trip:
Um, yeah, it is ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY IN WYOMING:
(Don't worry - THIS IS NOT GETTING BORING).
We were up at
Two Ocean Lake at 10:40
We started on the "South Trail", and after a little while were able to go down and get a nice view of the Lake:
This "South Trail" was all up in the woods, so we turned around and went up the "North Trail", which is much more open:
After a while, we turned around and got back to the car - 2 miles in 1 hour:
Pretty drive to
Jackson Lake Lodge:
Although the Dining Room was closed, they had take-out available, so we had cheeseburgers-with-a-view:
After lunch we went over to the
String Lake Trailhead, where I was 2 days ago. We did a-mile-in-and-a-mile-back:
(Side-Note - down at the "Visitor Center" I was able to take a cool photo of my Tuesday hike up to
Lake Solitude:)
We made our way over to the pick-up area for
Barker-Ewing Float Trips, who took us up to "Deadman's Bar":
And off we go, down the
Snake River:
Bald Eagle:
Moose:
and Beauty:
The sun was just going down behind the mountains as we returned to the parking area:
