Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021 - Down Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway to Mount Rushmore National Memorial, then Crazy Horse Memorial, then back into Wyoming (Jay Em, Wyoming) - 238 miles:
Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, on the road at 9:30 AM:
Going down Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, I had planned at stopping at Spearfish Falls, but we got distracted and stopped at Roughlock Falls first:
We then headed back down the road to Spearfish Falls:
It was a lovely hike down along Spearfish Creek:
We headed down the road:
To Mount Rushmore National Memorial:
18 miles down the road is the Crazy Horse Memorial:

We drove back into Wyoming, down to the town of Jay Em:
Unfortunately, the Post Office closed at noon (it is now 4:30), so I called Jane for directions. In writing this blog, it takes a bit of decision-making to select the right pictures to illustrate their roads-and-neighborhood:
WE ARRIVED right at 5 PM:
I believe John and Jane's "grocery shopping schedule" is different from mine and Wendy's:
BUT THE HOSPITALITY WAS EXCEPTIONAL!!!
It is GREAT to spend time with old friends! Thank you God for this wonderful adventure day with my Beautiful Bride!
