Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 - Explore Bryce Canyon National Park and drive Markagaunt High Plateau Scenic Byway = 157 miles driving!:
It was a beautiful morning to be out-and-about:
Cool stuff even before getting to the National Park:
Got to Bryce Canyon National Park at 10:45. The BEST WAY to experience this Park is to park in the Shuttle Parking area, and take their Shuttle Bus:
The bus drives the single road to all the best viewpoints (Bryce Point, Inspiration Point, Sunset Point, Sunrise Point):
So we got to Bryce Point at 11:24
You get some BEAUTIFUL VIEWS right from this viewing area:
The buses come every 10 minutes, and we took the next one back to Inspiration Point:
Cool views from the "regular" viewing area:
But then I saw the HIGH UP VIEWING AREA:
um, so I HIKED UP THERE! Pretty Cool Stuff!
WOW - we had certainly "seen enough", so we skipped the other stops (seeing as how it was neither "Sunrise" nor "Sunset") and headed out for lunch. After lunch, drove southwest/west to make my way through the Dixie National Forest:
Driving Utah State Route 14 (the Markagaunt High Plateau Scenic Byway) was really cool:
We checked into the Super 8 in Cedar City, Utah at 3:08 PM:
Hold On - That's NOT the end of the day! We had a Movie Date:
IT WAS SOOOO COOL!!! (I think I'm still hyperventilating)
What a Great Great Day!. Thank you God!
