2022 Fall Trip - Day 21/37 - 9/14/2022

Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 - Wendy and I, exploring through Colorado:

Isn't nice to wake up and see a friend walking through the parking lot:

Today's "Scenic Highway" is called Collegiate Peaks:

Even under clouds, Twin Lakes is beautiful:

It was nice going through Aspen, 50 years after the first time I came through on my first cross-country road trip:

We had lunch at "The Tipsy Trout" in Basalt, Colorado:

which is right alongside the Roaring Fork River:

And we wandered through Colorado:

We wound up at the trail I had hiked last week, and we were able to stretch our legs:

We continued through the Gunnison National Forest (road closed in winter):

Fun seeing some friends:

Came down out of the Forest, banged a right in Crested Butte, and checked into our room at the Days Inn in Gunnison:
