2022 Fall Trip - Day 20/37 - 9/13/2022

Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022 - Wendy and I, hiking and exploring through Colorado:

Our first stop was "Horsethief Falls Trail" in Divide, Colorado. Beautiful drive:

Great Wife on a Great Trail:

We did 2.83 miles in 1 hour 32 minutes:

Moved on down the road to Cripple Creek:

where we stopped for lunch:

We then drove to Guffey Gorge to hike and maybe see their falls:

Well, isn't this a nice surprise:

We looked, and there was going to be more "DOWN", so we were happy and bailed.

Today's "Scenic Highway" is called Gold Belt Tour:

We got to Royal Gorge about 4 PM:

On the road to Salida:

We checked into the Baymont in Salida at 5:30 - a very nice hotel. I'll have to check out their locations (they are part of the Wyndham family):
