2025 Late-Summer Road Trip - Day 13-of-35 - August 26, 2025

Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025 - Up The Washington Coast today - 437 miles ending up at the Super 8, Lacey/Olympia, WA :

In Ilwaco, Washington, fun wall-art:

Also in Ilwaco - the River City Playhouse:

Making my way up the Washington Coast:

And up into Olympic National Park:

Wendy asked if this was the Coast that had been washed-out by rain-storms and mudslides? I thought it was farther south (in California), but "bad weather" would certainly explain the dozens of roadcrews I have seen going up The Coast:

I'm heading out The Peninsula to Neah Bay:

Crusing along The North Shore (That's Vancouver Island, Canada out there):

98357 - Neah Bay, WA seems to be the most Northwest Post Office in the Continental United States:

From there, it was back down The Road to Olympia, Washington:

Checked-in just before 9 PM (photo from the next morning) - 437 miles today (and 27 Post Offices):

This is what they looked like:

My favorite today is 98550 - Hoquiam, WA:

Thank you God for another wonderful Adventure Day! And for The Beauty of all these days!

Stevie Wonder - Music of My Mind, 1972 album, last heard (on a Road Trip) never - sounded great in the hotel room this morning:

Dave Brubeck - Ken Burns Jazz: Dave Brubeck, 2000 album, last heard (on a Road Trip) 5/29/2018:

Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson - Navigators of Dune, cds 12 + 13, 2016 audiobook:

Burton, Corea, Metheny, Haynes, Holland - Like Minds, 1998 album, last heard (on a Road Trip) 10/19/2017 - very good jazz album. The personnel are exceptional:

Gary Burton – vibraphone
Chick Corea – piano

Roy Haynes – drums
Dave Holland – double bass

Pearl Jam - Ten, 1991 debut album, last heard (on a Road Trip) 7/14/204 - because they are from Seattle!

David Gilmour - Live In Gdansk, 2008 double-live album, last heard (on a Road Trip) 6/09/2018 - SOUNDS WONDERFUL:

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here, 1975 album, last heard (on a Road Trip) 6/09/2018 - of course I love this album:

The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers, 1971 album, last heard (on a Road Trip) 7/05/2018 - something familiar to coast me through the evening:
