2025 Late-Summer Road Trip - Day 11-of-35 - August 24, 2025

Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025 - Over to The PACIFIC OCEAN today - 348 miles ending up at the Super 8, Central Point/Medford, OR:

With a 3-hour-time-change, I started the day with Church:

Palm Trees, of course, in California:

My first stop was Whiskeytown National Recreation Area:

One of The Rangers asked if I had any plans for today, and I replied "I'm Heading to The Coast!"

It is wonderful driving alongside the Trinity River:

At 2:40 I hit Clam Beach State Park, and the Pacific Ocean:

I got off Hwy 101 and drove up through Redwood National Park:

As I entered the Visitor Center, I looked up at the birds nesting:

PRETTY COOL driving through The Forest:

Then back to The Coast:

I went inland, along the Middle Fork of the Smith River:

I crossed into Oregon at 5:48

"Oregon Sunset" at 8:33

Checked-in at 7:47 PM - 348 miles today (and 28 Post Offices):
