Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025 - Just "Hitting-The-Road":
I left the Super 8 at 8 AM - no breakfast. Nice seeing wall-art in Germantown, OH:
While I drove, I could even GO TO CHURCH:
And then it was time for a REAL BREAKFAST (I know - Sunday morning; how busy could it be?):
It was actually perfect - they have a ton of space and tables, so I hade chocolate-chip pancakes!
Going 65 through the cornfields of Indiana:
Once in a while, you just can't get where you want to go:
Leaving Indiana into Illinois:
Not a whole lot going on in this part of the country:
I checked in at the Super 8 Normal, IL at 7:48 PM (time zone change) - 381 miles today (and 41 Post Offices):

Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson - Navigators of Dune, cds 1 + 2, 2016 audiobook. In years past, it has been so cold in the morning that I drove with the windows up. That allowed me to listen to teachings from Thursday Men's Breakfast, sermons from church, or audiobooks. This trip, however, starts with temperatures in the upper-60s/low-70s, so it is rock 'n roll from the start. The afternoon, however, gets up into the 90s - so the windows get rolled up, the ac goes on, and the audiobook starts:
Bob Marley & The Wailers - Natty Dread, 1974 album, last heard 4/29/2021 - simply because "Natty Dread" is right above "Navigators of Dune" in my iPod; listened twice because I was driving around getting dinner:
