9:30 service Saint Mark's Anglican Church (Te Aroha):

Then Wendy and I had a fun lunch with another Camino friend (Paul) at a fun restaurant (Osteria) in Matamata:

Then a couple of hours down the road to Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake):

Wendy went for a very nice swim!
An hour down the road we saw a VERY INTERESTING feature:

It turns out that it IS NOT a nuclear power plant - "The Ohaaki Power Station is a geothermal power station owned and operated by Contact Energy. A distinctive feature of this power station is the 105 m high natural draft cooling tower, the only one of its kind in New Zealand." Well, I'm glad that worked out!
Another half-hour, and we were at Huka Falls Scenic Reserve:

The Falls themselves are actually at the end of a long channel-of-cascades. These are upstream-and-downstream from a bridge at the midway point:

Finally, the area below the Falls is beautiful turbulent shades of blue:

While the area above the cascades is a peaceful calm:

Down to Havelock North (Te Mata Lodge), and dinner at an English Pub (watching rugby!). Thank you God for all your wonderful adventures today!
