Saturday, Feb 18, 2017 - laundromat, then down to Akaroa:
94 kilometers means an easy-going day
Checked out of Le Petit Hotel just after 10, drove into Christchurch to use the dryer at a laundromat, then headed south-then-east. We found a beautiful area around Lake Forsyth:
Wendy taking a picture of black swans:
and turning around, across the road, a farm which backs up into the hills:
A few kilometers down the road we stoped for lunch at the Little River Diner:
They had a great map of the Banks Peninsula:
We had some GREAT VIEWS continuing on our way to Akaroa:
The harbor in Akaroa:
and the view back up the road to our inn [Blythcliffe]:
Looking from our room back down toward the harbor:
We met our Banks Peninsula info guide at 5:45
(we will join them on the hike tomorrow morning after church.)
and then we went out for dinner:
The harbor looked beautiful:
Then bedtime. Thank You God for these Great Days!
(This is how the top map looks in Terrain mode)
