No art museums today, but we went down to Kingston, Ontario to take a 3-hour boat cruise through the 1000 Islands. In the late-1800s/early-1900s, people started building summer cottages on many of the individual islands in the St. Lawrence River east of Lake Ontario, and Wendy was able to sign us up for a cruise from 12:30-3:30 (including a sit-down served lunch)
It was a beautiful day to be out on the water - not too hot, not too cool (and we had the perfect luncheon table in the bow of the boat!):
The houses are very nice
and some really are "on an island"!:
then back east, and south back into the USA
Just before customs is the 1000 Islands Tower, a 400-foot observation tower (don't worry, it has an elevator!). Although the Lower Deck is cool
the views up a flight of stairs on the Upper Deck are AMAZING!

Looking east:
Looking south (that's Customs way down there)
and Looking west:
Blessedly, we were able to get through Customs (with Wendy's expired passport) with only a smile and a nod! Unfortunately, it was already after 5 PM, so we couldn't visit the Antique Boat Museum in nearby Clayton, NY, so we just headed down the road for our hotel - the Pleasant Beach Hotel in Fair Haven, NY, right on the shore of Lake Ontario - just lovely. Thank you God for another great day!
Music today (I listened to albums):
Neil Young - Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (1969)
Neil Young - Harvest Moon (1992)
Neil Young - Rust Never Sleeps (1979)
The Beatles - Rubber Soul (1965)
