Up and at 'em - from Blanding, Utah:

through Monticello, Utah:

through Dove Creek, Colorado:

through Cahone, Colorado:

through Yellow Jacket, Colorado:

through Lewis, Colorado:

I don't think I can stand the excitement! And we haven't even gotten to the National Park yet! (Wendy is researching a "I Brake For Post Offices" bumper sticker)

Mesa Verde National Park Visitor Center at 10:30

The Park is a drive-through-and-explore-selected-spots type of Park. We drove down and had lunch at the "Far View Terrace", and then headed down the "Chapin Mesa" and explored its end:

We stopped at a cool place called "Navajo Canyon Overlook":

which has a GREAT VIEW of many cliff dwellings on the other side:

Wendy and I had tickets ($5 each, purchased at the Visitor Center) to the 1 PM tour of Cliff Palace, but she wasn't feeling up for it so I went alone (along with 35 of my closest friends):

Then over to Durango, and north on the Million Dollar Hwy:

An awesome view of Silverton, Colorado:

Through a dark canyon:

Then Wendy unpacking at my cousin Tom's in Ridgway, Colorado:

Thank you God for ALL THESE WONDERFUL ADVENTURES!
Driving Music:
William Gibson - Neuromancer (Chapters 15 and 16), 1984 (his first book)

Bruce Cockburn - Stealing Fire, 1984

The Beatles - Let It Be, 1970

Started listening because Wendy said we are on a "Long and Winding Road"
lyrics "Two of Us":
You and I have memories
Longer than the road that stretches out ahead
The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour, 1967
